I have KPA500 #429, and I really love the amp, but have been confused by the
ALC threshold settings.

I am using the Ten Tec 705 mic with my K2, and it is a great mic with the K2. I
wired my K2 straight across ( standard K2 wiring)
Then wired the mic to match. The mic requires power so you could use the
battery in the mic base, but its not necessary if you
tap the 5 volts offered in the K2 at

While reading a post by Stan, W5EWA and his experince with a problems on the
40 meter band with parasitic occilations, I realized that I was also having
the same thing happening to my setup. When using the K2-100 with the KAT100
tuner on the 40 meter band it caused the tuner to act erratic on
John, I moved the RFC to the left viewed for the front of the PA board. I
moved it very little, as it was almost exactly as that shown on the pictoral
in the manaul.
