It is being sent to P3 owners who also ordered the P3SVGA. It is the increased current drain of the P3SVGA board that makes this mod desirable/required. I installed mine today, and it works fine. (did it without removing the KPA3, but many will want to do that. One issue with the instructions is

Well, I was bored today so I installed the mod. The only problem with the installation was getting the holes cleaned out after removing the choke & circuit breaker. My solder sucker finally did the job. I then undid my relay box from the power leads. I hooked everything up and the mod works fine. T

True, but you must form the leads of the replacement RFC to stand "on end". I find that much easier to do if I can actually touch the leads while inserting them in the holes. Also, for those without a vacuum de-soldering iron, it's easier to clear the through-plated holes by putting a solder-suck

I just received this kit which increases the current available at the 12V DC Out jack on the K3 to drive a P3 with P3SVGA. The kit consists of replacing a surface mount diode, a through hole fuse and through hole choke. Elecraft sent me this kit without my asking. :) I have not installed it yet
