I replied to Jim off line. That washer is not used. I prepared an errata today removing it. The parts lists are created fairly early in the development phase of a project. I write the kit assembly instructions much later. Usually both the factory and I audit the parts list to ensure it matches

I'm almost finished assembling a KAT500, and I haven't found a step calling for the lock washer, #4, interior tooth (P/N E700010). Do any of you KAT500 assemblers remember having an extra? The parts list says only one was included in the miscellaneous bag. 73, Jim N7US

Jim, If you had 2 (or more), then you can just keep the extra. Hardware items are weighed, not counted, so occasionally, you may find extras. Of course, if you were short, that is a different matter and an email to pa...@elecraft.com will have one to you in a few days. 73, Don W3FPR On
