Hi Larry,
The XFIL control rotates through the roofing filters. When you
manually select a filter, its default center and passband are used.
This is described on p5 of the Owner's Manual.

If I may suggest --
Stop using the XFIL button. For voice modes, set the filter control
knobs to LO Cut/Hi Cut.
Use Hi Cut to set the upper end of the audio bandpass and Lo Cut to set
the low end. The filter center will then be automatic and the filters
will switch in and out automati
