Hi all,
I’m sure you are all pretty bored with the shortages and waiting thing. I’m
just excited because I finally got the most expensive email I’ve ever gotten.
;)
The funny thing is, I really don’t think I want to sell my K3S and gang.
That’s still an amazing radio after all these years.
K3S s/n 10111 has arrived! Big 'ol box of parts. Gonna be fun!

it has been ordered and will be shipped to my place of business.

Hi all,
I finally got to try the K3 in a contest... Very nice rig... I flushed
out all the macros, and got it running well, but for the serial port
slowdown all went almost perfect!

It only took six hours this time to install and setup N1MM to run with
my K3. Hopefully it will work tomorrow when I reboot that computer. I
wish the documentation was not so confusing. Most application manuals I
read are not so obfuscated. A few real world examples would have been
nice.
I received my K3 about 3 weeks prior to the Christmas holiday. With the family
commitments, terrible weather in the southeast(aircraft mechanic for Delta)
keeping me awfully busy, then another ice/ snow storm. I finally had a chance
to connect this fine looking rig and turn it on. Awesome! I
Now that 4.22 is an official release, I loaded it into my K3 4290 tonight.
After having read so much about the APF I couldn't wait to try it. I must
admit, I was a bit concerned it wouldn't live up to the hype. I needn't
have worried. It's everything I'd hoped it would be. I had a Drake 2B

of my rigs to finance it. Now I have about 4 months to come up with the
money. Anyone interested in a nice Drake B-Line, TR7 and a one year old

I'm keeping my K2/100!

I think you'll find it far more satisfying to ANSWER a CQ rather than to
CALL cq.
a) You don't have to copy a horrible fist. If it's horrible, find another.
b) You get an answer in one or two tries, not hundreds (ymmv). You know the
path is open one way, and it's probably reciprocal.

Stephanie,
Outstanding! I always love to hear someone who has
made that 1st CW contact and is ready for more. At
age 15 I made my 1st CW QSO. That was almost 50 years

I hate to admit this, but I finally finished the KX1 I

in the beginning, then ran into a snag, so I decided to set
it aside for a while. That while turned out to be over a year.
At any rate, #577 is now live and on the air. Power
Hi Rich:
I heard you just fine here in Amarillo this evening. This was the first

just fine on 40m. Tom was S9+10 but he said I had some QSB on my
