My K2/10 (#6255) has suddenly lost any receive capability on 40 meters. It
transmits on all bands including 40 meters but hears nothing on 40. I have
done the simple checks in changing coax and antenna inputs with no change. I
have a second K2 for comparison, but lacking any lab equipment here

Check the menu while you have 40 meters selected.
Is the RX ant set on? This is a per band setting.
If it receives on other bands, and can transmit on all bands, then this
is about the only thing that can be wrong.
