If you set fan speed to Level 1 in the first place, it will run continuously and avoid wide temperature variations. I can work pileups in RTTY at 500W and the fan goes into Level 2 on rare occasions and for a short time only. IMHO, the NORmal setting is not the best one. Level 1 (constant) is
