[Elecraft] KPA500 Serial Port Problem

I bought an KPA 500 this fall and just started using it because my antenna was down from the hurricaine. I can't get the serial port to communicate with my computer. I bought two of the UISB to serial cables with the FTDI chipset, which I KNOW work because my Winkeyer uses one, and neither one
