I would to use an existing 2 meter xvtr with the KX3. No problem except my
primary use would be for satellite operation. That is in the 145.8 to 146.0
mhz. That would correspond to 29.8 to 30.0 mhz, which is out of band for
the KX3. So, is there a way to allow transmit just above the ten meter
I use my KX3 on 146.805 repeater with no problem. I think the firmware is a
little smarter - you tell it you have a transverter connected (up to 10, I
believe) and it's cared for.

Hello Steve,
It sounds like the menu is set up for a 2m transverter. Go into the
menu and find XV1 ON, and make sure the selection is 'no' (before making
a change, you have to unlock it by holding RATE down for a few
seconds). Hope this helps.

Thanks, Rich. I have followed this suggestion and it has removed that band
from the up/down field. I don't have an external transverter of any kind,
so this feature is probablynot something I will be able to use.
