There are airline regulations regarding batteries so you should check to make sure that your battery sizes are acceptable. Bringing a transceiver though security is usually a piece of cake. I have TSA Precheck which I think makes things easier in US airports but I rarely have had to take my K3S

I have traveled to Europe/Caribbean a few times with my KX3. I just packed it in my (carry-on) suitcase or in my backpack and never had a problem. I didn't pack it with batteries, because I could always just plug in a universal adapter. You might choose not to bring batteries if you can get a
