amplifier output just below the desired peak output on each band.
That requires that you use the AUX to ACC cable between the K3 and the
KPA500 as shown
I recently finished up my KPA500 and it is a treat! I was astonished when my
first CQ call on 40m was answered by a station in Slovenia! No fancy antenna,
just a G5RV at about 50' running due N S, to get E/W lobes.
Only one thing I can't figure out and I haven't been able to find in the

have it set PER BAND.
The KPA500 manual should say this, but I didn't see it in there when I
looked.

Yes, you will need to enter the CONFIG of your K3, and locate PWR SET. If it
is reading NOR, then you need to toggle it to read PER-BAND.
It has been so long since I added the KPA 500, and made those settings, I
really can't recall if there are additional steps to follow. I am sure more
help
