I have an opportunity to get a Palstar automatic tuner, the AT-AUTO.
This is an older version, NOT the new HF-AUTO.
It has an RS232 interface which the manual says can be used in a
listen-only configuration with transceivers that send frequency data

For about a week now I've been trying to figure out how to interface my K3
#2737 with the Palstar AT-Auto. Although the AT-Auto manual offers wiring
diagrams there a number of issues or concerns regarding which cables and how
to make an RS232 Y cable without doing any damage to the K3. E-mail
I am using an AT-Auto with my K3 3779 and is works flawlessly.

I have owned a Palstar AT Auto for 18 months with heavy use and it has been
flawless. No problems like those cited above. Certainly the best auto tuner
I have owned. It has been an exceptional piece of equipment, like my K3.
Also, like Phil, I own a Palstar AT2K -- the best modern day manual
