I used the 1060, with no foam on the bottom. The KX1 is a pretty robust little box already; the Pelican foam insert holds it very securely, and there's little chance of the encoder knob hitting the top cover. My setup is much like N2HTT's: http://www.n2htt.net/KX1/ Except that I use

What size Pelican case do folks use for the KX-1?? I seem to remember it is the 1060, but its internal height is barely more than the KX-1 itself. Does this provide enough clearance to protect the tuning knob? For people using this case - do you put any foam beneath the KX-1, or just let it
