To simply test SCAN do the following:
first push A>B
then turn VFOB (small knob) clockwise a few turns
then push SCAN
It should start scanning.
The M>V REQ "error" message when you push SCAN is an indication that
the higher freq is in VFOA and the lower freq is in VFOB. Even though

I tried that but it still does not get the VFO B freq from memory to actual VFO

I've noticed this when B is not on same band as A. Try A-B and recall your
memory again
