Phase noise, both in the transmitted signal and that added to it the RX,
is mostly what makes a mess of two stations on the same band. Spurs,
Last FD we ran 4 FTDX10s. No interstation interference with them being 8
feet from each other in a straight line. All antennas were within 100 feet
of each other. 2 cw stations and 2 phone stations had no problems. We did
not run CW and Phone on the same band at the same time, but had no problems

I've got a KX3 and an IC-7300.
The 7300 uses a moderately clacky relay for T/R switching but something
silent (to my ears) for sending CW while the relay is in the T position.
If you expect the basically instant and completely silent QSK of the KX3,
you'll be disappointed.
If you don't mind
One of the most important characteristics of a radio for FD is its
ability to play well with others. I have heard that the IC7300 does not.
The low cost Kenwood radios have, in general, been second best to the K3
and KX3 in that regard. Deficiencies of the Icom and Yaesu rigs are lots
