Any chance of getting some reasonably high resolution photos of the KPA500?
Maybe there are already some around, but can't seem to find them.

Hello dr OM's
I would like to order a K3 (kit) and I need to know what is the physical
dimension of the box shipped; I understand that there is only one box; also
need to know the weight of the box.
Thank you!

Hi
I noticed there are 10 keys that could have macros assigned to them (M1-M4
tap/hold and PF1, PF2 hold), but only 8 macros in total can be assigned to
them.
It would be nice, if that wasn't a big effort, if 2 more macros could be
assigned to keys.
Cheers,
Adi

I'm posting some detail of this long saga of faults on my K3 and the eventual
solution, in the hope that it may help others with similar problems.
My K3/100 S/No 01434 is just about 3 years old now and about a year ago
intermittently started showing faults. At switch-on 'ERR BP1', 'ERR LPF' and

Not quite what the KPA-1500 promised -- the HL-2.5KFX does
not support SO2R or six meters.

Are you suggesting that Elecraft buy Tokyo High Power or copy their amplifier?
Seriously. Be patient. I'm sure that any 1500w solidstate amp made by Elecraft
will be far advanced of what is available from other manufacturers now.

That is an extremely small market. There is a reason the rigs you
mentioned are no longer around. Serious ops go the transverter route.
The problem is that there are NO good VHF/UHF radios anymore! That's why the
serious OPs MUST go the transverter route. Believe me, there's quite some

Hi again,
I agree the feature seems a little odd, but my first priority in this area

Olli,
I have personal experience in the past of how popular weak signal work on 2m

Judging from QST columns there is also a lot of 2m dxing on the U.S. East

I haven't seen it mentioned, but I'm wondering what the KPA500 kit
plan is? Is it similar to the K3 kit, where it's akin to assembling a
