It's leakage of an internal signal from the K3 [or maybe even the P3 but I doubt it] into your P3, most probably through the cabling. It moves when you tune because it's coming from the radio. It's like some fairy tale or bad dream... you can chase it but you'll never ever catch it. [:-)

[Elecraft] P3 display issue.

Yesterday while on the radio I notice on my P3 screen a signal (so I thought) the band was basically dead other than this signal. As I tried to tune to it the signal would move. No matter how close I tried to get to the so called signal it kept the same distance from my VFO A tuning indication.
