Please do not start the Elecraft bashing again please, if you do not like
the way Elecraft works with all of us.
I wish you the best with your Flex 6600M and amplifier and that you have
all the fun with it as we are having with ours.

I thought long and hard about a K4, but couldn't stand the idea of
a two year wait for whatever reasons given. If design decisions and
supply chain choices cause you to lose customers, it says that
Elecraft needs to have a long moment to get their house in order.
Or, they will fall into line
Hi Tony,

This topic appeared on the list previously from last October "sticky
thermal pads for K3 LPA Mosfets".
One of my LPA Mosfets went bad in my K3s. I saw a comment on the
reflector about these devices failing and I'm guessing the heat sink
design
then there is INDIUM,, which is wired thin metal thermal foil,
some believe the conductivity to be better than the paste

Thermal pads are a compromise between heat conductivity and ease of
use. Thermal paste can be applied in a thinner layer, and if done
uniformly will therefore have less thermal resistance.
You're good.

Tony,
Elecraft has always used the thermal pads.

used prior to the switch?
Just purchased a produced called MX-5 from Arctic

I have two. I purchased the 1st one when I ordered upgrade items for a K3. The
2nd one (AFAICR) came free with the K3S. I sold the K3, but the hat didn’t go
with it!
I still have the K3S and I wore the one of the hats today for a hospital
appointment, as the WX was slightly cold today.
73,
Some years ago, Elecraft offered some hats on their website. Part number
was KHAT, of course. I bought mine then.
I run a K3, P3, KAT500 and KPA500 and occasionally a KX3 ... while wearing
my hat.

Don't feel too bad, Bob, you're not the only one.
I bought my K3 in autumn 2010 and have optioned it up over the years,
the last big upgrade being the second receiver in late 2017. I ordered
everything with the expectation that I would receive what I had ordered
and I did, nothing more, nothing
This was a while back - early 2019 with the K3S order. I’m still waiting for
the K4.

Wow! At least you got a hat with your radio.
I put down my $1500 deposit on a K4 at the 2019 Hamvention and waited
almost 2 and a half years to finally receive the radio. My very first
Elecraft purchase ever. When Madelyn emailed me to say the radio is
ready to ship, I asked for at least a
