Hi James, It might be simpler if you are not comfortable packing & shipping
gear to let the UPS or FedEx store pack and ship the radio. If they pack it “in
house” and there is any damage in shipping they will cover it 100% for whatever
you claim its value to be. I normally pack myself but a

Exactly Jim. The internal EQ of most of the current radios will make most mics
sound pretty good. No need for the stacks of outboard some guys use.

Correct but the little box scores well in Rob Sherwood’s tests (considering its
price) and the eHam opinions (reviews) are great. It’s no K3 but looks like a
lot of fun to play with. Glad to see one of the big 3 come out with something
new at a great price.

Time for me to throw in a pitch for the Win4K3 Suite. Best 50 buck investment
you can make. I started with K3 EZ (free is good) but soon moved to Win4K3 and
never looked back. The suite is constantly evolving. No annual update fee.
Works with both K3 & KX3. You can put it on unlimited number of

A great $ 50 investment is a download of Win4K3 which makes all this K3
tweaking a breeze. Tom offers a sample download to try before buying. Works
with the KX3 and on multiple computers too. No annual fee either. Buy it once !

That’s kind of what I’ve been thinking too, Bill. With my often high noise

David, Your friend states there are 2 dozen birdies on 6 meters with the

Mine drifts like crazy on 6 meters but I haven’t done the temp. comp. Will that
help ? It’s not my main 6 meters radio (my K3 is) so it hasn’t been a big
concern.
