Sounds like a great experience. I would totally integrate Facebook in the
display! Haha, good one. I can’t wait to hear more about the operation and
features in real world use. Thanks for the walk-through!

Hey Charlie,
If you don’t mind I’ll share my thoughts coming from a Flex 6400 owner(I do
own a KX2 and KX3 too). Last year I moved to the Flex because at that time
it appeared to be the best option in the SDR world. I’ve always loved
Elecraft but the K3S and P3 were a bit out of my price range at
I’m thrilled at the announcement of the K4 and like everyone else have tons of
questions. One in particular stands out for me and that’s remote control and
access.
On the computer side will this be a client app? Will it work on both Windows
and Mac OS? Or will it be a web based UI?
On the
I’m with you Kev. I bought into the Flex system but after their latest update
and how they seem to be catering to the contest crowd and not general users,
I’m looking elsewhere. Especially the K4 now! Wow it looks nice and has what
is needed. I am interested in knowing more about it’s remote
Larry, I'm curious why you'd use a homebrew cable instead of using the
Elecraft specific cable KXPACBL? It seems your cable is not performing some
function that the OEM cable provides so it makes it hard for someone to help
with your setup.

Can the Tenergy battery charger (from Elecraft) that is used for the KX2 be
used to power the KX2 like the ProAudio Engineering unit?

Roger,
I found this same issue when I added the KXPA100 back in the March
timeframe. I posted here on the Elecraft list and shortly started an email
dialog with Paul, one of Elecrafts Senior Software Engineers. After some
testing it was determined that they could re-create the problem and that a

I've noticed after installing the KXPA100 that the green bar cursor on the
PX3 is jumpy when tuning through the band. If I turn off the KXPA100 the
cursor is smooth. Any ideas?
Thanks,

Does Elecraft offer any type of discount at the ham fests? I'm going to
Orlando in a few weeks and am looking forward to meeting the Elecraft guys
and check out the KX3 and KPA500. If anyone from the list will be there
look me up. Thanks, Scott N1SER
Thanks for the comments. I was reading about Dual Watch but I have it
turned off in the menu. I've not been able to duplicate it so I'm not sure
what triggered that message. I'll keep digging.
