James and other K3 users, There is one other advantage of the kit. Having assembled the radio one has a better idea as to how to install future hardware modifications or additions. It may be a small advantage but I believe it is a real one. 73 Doug EI2CN -Original

I would imagine, judging from the ads, that a factory built K3 may have a slightly higher resale value but that doesn't matter to me since I doubt I'll ever sell mine! Also, since I saved nearly $400 building it that's probably a wash anyway. I sure enjoyed assembling the radio and it
