I tried to use my K2/KIO2/XV combination with Writelog for last
weekend's CQWW VHF competition and failed.
I hooked up the K2 to a serial port and set it up on Writelog. While
Writelog recognized the rig and could set the frequency, it went
crazy while polling the rig for frequency. It

That certainly sounds like a Writelog problem. If the K2 works properly
with another program, then there is nothing wrong with the K2 interface or
your connections - that leaves only the driving software and a small chance
that the sequence of commands is creating an unexpected path

hi - perhaps one of these ideas will be helpful - I have used the K2+XV50 with
writelog with no problem, so I would not think it is likely
