BTW I had to laugh out loud when I saw a new IC-7700 owner tout its 7.2 pound tuning knob ;-) Try and find someone with the IC-7700 and spin the dial - it has a beautiful feel to it. Saving $4000 as compared to IC-7800, I'd also buy the accessory monkey to spin/stop that gigantic knob.
