[Elecraft] K3 all mode squelch?

I was tinkering with the SQ MAIN menu setting in FW version 2.38 and hit the DISP button for an explanation. It says . tap '1' to use squelch in all modes. Sounds like a nice feature, but it's not working for me. Squelch only works in FM. Is the DISP text out ahead of the feature? Robert K5PI
