[Elecraft] K3 All Mode Squelch

2009-04-02 Thread Doug Turnbull
Hi All,
I thought this was an April fool's joke and deleted all references to
this topic. Wow do I have respect for Elecrafter! Thank you for such a
tremendous turnaround rate on improvements! I look forward to your future
panadaptor which I hope is stand alone. I remain a dinosaur who does not
wish to tie a PC into his rig but I like the idea of a panadaptor even one
such as on the Orion 2, which is still my main rig but then I am only
learning to use the K3. I too for what it is worth would like to see an
external pod to trigger CW and voice memories and perhaps though less
importantly to tune the rig. The K3 is a very small rig and one cans, no
doubt, during the heat of a contest hit the wrong button to great distress.
With the O2 this would be hitting USER 1 button beneath SEND 3. The pod is
a very useful accessory. Keyboard, pod and paddle are in line for contest
operation and except for search and pounce the rig itself is not touched.

I bet we like the taste of the new fish dishes served up by Elecrafter.
I use to be a cynic and protester; what is happening to me in old age?
Thank you to Elecrafter.

[Elecraft] K3 all mode squelch?

2008-09-13 Thread Robert Brandon
I was tinkering with the SQ MAIN menu setting in FW version 2.38 and hit the
DISP button for an explanation. It says . tap '1' to use squelch in all
modes.

Sounds like a nice feature, but it's not working for me. Squelch only works
in FM. Is the DISP text out ahead of the feature?
