For what its worth, this seems to be a pretty good idea to me. The only thing I would add to the feature would be to allow for a remote set of buttons which a user could build. Like and outside box so that the box could he close to the key paddle...or...have the buttons on the paddle so one

Not so far fetched - my Icom 703 (nice features - so-so receiver) has that - as well as others I own or have owned. Perhaps it would be easier implement in conjunction with the KRC2 or some similar device. The 703 uses the four buttons along the bottom of the display - 3 memory You could also

This sounds an awfully lot like you are asking for the KRC2. In fact with the right configuration, the KRC2 could easily do this, AND it already has four buttons to play with. No need to change the K2, just come up with a specific configuration request for the KRC2! On Nov 9, 2004, at 7:04
