Re: [Emc-developers] 64 bit LinuxCNC possible
I've had 64-bit RTAI running on LinuxCNC for years. No issues here. Re: [Emc-developers] 64 bit LinuxCNC possible
I am running all my machines on 64bit, except for the BP BOSS, but that is because the PC is only 32bit. Before Stretch was out I used some variety of 64bit Ubuntu, but I think Jepler's LCNC Stretch ISOs are the greatest thing since sliced bread. I even use them on machines I have no intention of ever running LCNC on, including servers, lol. It is just so convenient to have wifi etc. work out of the box, which is a pain to get working with a standard issue stretch ISOs. I have had no problems running both 2.7 and master on 64bit. The buildbot's "sim" jessie debs are actually built for uspace, the naming is a misleading anachronism. Use the apt source line from here: http://buildbot.linuxcnc.org/ Pick the one that says "Jessie (uspace: realtime with RT-Preempt, and simulation)". -- Sebastian Kuzminsky -- Check out the vibrant tech community on one of the world's most engaging tech sites, Slashdot.org! http://sdm.link/slashdot ___ Emc-developers mailing list Emc-developers@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/emc-developers
