Is there a web site for the FCC Application for Equipment Authorization,
Form 731, where the application can electronically be completed and also a
way to file the application electronically? I found the form on the FCC's
web site, but it apparently allows a copy but no data to be entered.
This clause of the Canadian standard refers to a label that may be applied
on the part(s) in question. The clause (5.14) that is referred to says that
the text given (in that clause) or equivalent may be used to warn of the
parts being live.
What other warning labels are acceptable? Are there
CSA C22.2 No. 107.1 Clause 4.2.5.3 has an exception for the hole size
allowed over live parts, if the equipment is:
a.. 1.8 (or more) metres tall
b.. A UPS
Can anyone tell me why this exception applies only to UPS's, and not to
other power supplies?

I am having a discussion with a colleague about Clause 4.3.18 of IEC 950.
This clause is for direct plug-in equipment. The clause states ...at a
distance of 8 mm behind the engagement face of the socket-outlet. The
discussion is on what is meant by behind.
