Hi John,
In a past life, I had to deal with conductive coatings. In addition to the
parameters you listed,
uniformity, integrity and durability of the coating were important. Uniformity
was important because

Having had much difficulty meeting these limits, could you briefly summarize
the changes in Am1? Do they apply also to PSTN lines also?

Beginning to consider conductive coatings for EMC shielding.
To be used inside a plastic cover (material as yet unknown) in
a low power/voltage (SELV) application.
This is unfamiliar territory.
I'm sure someone on this listserv has experience with these.

Chris, Don,
Testing to standards is usually termed Type Testing, which is testing for
design faults. The purpose of production testing is to identify production
faults, (e.g. incorrect or bad connections, faulty components, etc., etc.)

Don,
IEC 60950, section 5.3, is specific regarding electric strength
testing. It does not require testing between secondary circuits,
as it is the primary to secondary, and primary to ground insulation
that provides protection against electric shock. Type testing is

Hi all,
Is there anyone who can tell me if there is anywhere in the UK that I could
get a Honeywell 4881 transient generator repaired, I know it is 30+ years
old but as most of you know getting new equipment or replacing old equipment
can be an almost impossible task for an emc lab.
