(Going theoretical here - and off the top of my head at that so please don't just accept this argument. Corrections would be appreciated if applicable) I am unsure if the critical property is the reflective surface or the conductive properties (to prevent part of the field from making it

Dear group I have a telecom unit that already passed all tests according to CS03, FCC part 68 and NRT3. What are the chances to pass the Australian TS001 and TS002 without modifying the unit? Thanks Dieter Baldamus --- This message is from the IEEE

Alex, What I have done in your situation is to treat the inner copper layers of the card as Polution Degree 1 (sealed so as to exclude dust and moisture), and calculate creepages and clearance from there. This protects you just in case you have a small air pocket in the inner layers. Some

I have heard of an OATS built over a fresh water ground plane, ( a pond / lake?). I imagine a slight breeze would upset the characteristics of the site? Michael Sundstrom NOKIA TCC Dallas / EMC ofc: (972) 374-1462 cell: (817) 917-5021 amateur call: KB5UKT -Original

I can't offer quantitative experience, but I can offer some theory that has always made sense to me (and my results were usually quite repeatable at my last job where we employed these practices): While the measurement site itself probably has a defined ground plane for at least most of the

Terry - Part 11 of 21CFR is related to electronic reporting and electronic signatures for submittals to the FDA; I don't believe there's any certification program for Part 11, just a process/procedure to follow. Refer to http://www.fda.gov/ora/compliance_ref/part11/ for details. Regards,

Hi Group, My products use an external double insulated power supply which supplies SELV to the product. For an analogue modem there has to be a creepage and clearance between the PSTN side and the other product electronic circuitry. I normally allow for 2.5mm and I apply this rule to all 4 layers

We have noticed a change in our OATS characteristics depending upon the dampness of the area. It is especially noticeable this time of year when we get a lot of rain in Florida. Does anyone else experience this phenomena? More to your question Mat, the major contributors to the measurement
