Dear Experts, We have been asked by a customer if our products passes the 100 megohm insulation resistance test. Being a laboratory equipment manufacturer, we are not familiar with this test. Can anyone provide me with more details regarding this test? 100 megohm between what and what? Is

Insulation Resistance test NOT same as di-electric withstand. Classic instrument often refered to as 'megger'. IR tests are typically done at lower test V than D/E withstand. Depending on rating of components, IR test voltages can be applied anywhere the insulation quality must be quantified, and
