How do you prove there are no EMC/ Safety requirements when trying to import your product into India to the authorities? Should you have a Self DOC stating this is an ITE product in which there are no mandatory requirements for India.? Is there a voluntary Mark you should have on the product

My experience recently with the BIS web site is similar regarding set top boxes. STBs are sort of androgynous, might be 60950-1 and might be 60065 or both, but India seems to have no safety requirements in the BIS mandatory list. Can anyone shed any additional light on applicable safety and EMC
