Peter,
Think about why the standards define normal
environment (temperature, humidity,
airpressure,etc.)conditions when performing
a test.
Those environment parameters will cause the
frequency to shift, cause the amplitude to
change, etc..A simple example, when the
emperature increases, the

The voltage of the neutral with respect to the ground wire
is a function of its resistance and its current:

Maximum normal current is the rating of the fuse or circuit-
breaker protecting that particular circuit. For a 120-volt

Is there any directive that this plastic stand falls

Are there directive which requires the plastic

Hope it helps.

Robert,
ETSI recently placed all their specs on the web for free download.
You need to register with them to get an identifier which you will

Hello Peter:
There is no combined EMC and environmental test that I am awared of.
However, I suppose, you can perform some kind of Stress Screening or
temperature shock test (i.e. Mil-Std-810). This will prematurely age you
equipment/product prior to performing EMC so that you can perform EMC

Hello George:
Your FCC part 15 for emission is mutually recognized by Canada. As for
Safety, US has UL1950 3rd Ed. while Canada has C22 NO. 950. These safety
tests are almost identical with some dela. You need to get the Canadian

We worked with test labs to obtain conformance to FCC Part 15, and CE,
for which we have a DOC.

I don't think a CE mark is required for the stand. However, you may have to
test your product as it is installed on the stand. The particular tests I
am thinking of are the 10 degree tip test and the xx Newton sideways push
force test. Does the product tip over in either of these two tests? If
