Does anyone know what the procedures are for reviewing TCFs as a certified
CAB? I found little info regarding TCFs so any info would be greatly
appreciate.

Do you know if Switzerland generally follows the same rules -- including the

Even though the OJ is not a factor in Swiss law, for standards announced in

Hello Group
I am currently involved in an RTTE procedure with
bakom in Switzerland. It is believed that Switzerland
follows the same procedures as the EC as an alternative to it's
own. A standard notification procedure by a NB referring to the RTTE
directive should be sufficient.
Regards,
Gert
Yes Chris, this is exactly
what the criterium A is about. The manufacturer
should specify the performance of the product during
exposure to radiated (or conducted) RF-interference.
The device should of course not loose 100 % of it's performance though.
This way, ideally, customers are able to

According to EN50082-1, no degradation of performance below a performance
level specified by the manufacturer is allowed whereas EN55020 gives a clear

amplifier specs give a signal to noise ratio of x dB but also state in a
Hi John:
Are you sure that you can get appreciable X-radiation at 8 kV? In the
days of monochrome TV with 9 and 12 inch tubes running at 8 kV, we never
bothered about X rays, but projection sets running at 25 kV were known
as a radiation hazard. Maybe tolerance levels have been
Twenty years go microwave amps of 1 W or more power output were all TWTAs.
Nowadays a 10 W amp or less from 1 - 2 GHz could be solid-state. I have no
experience with those personally. Do you still have to illuminate that 1.5
m square above 1 GHz? Then you would need a very powerful amplifier

In searching for the best value for power amplifiers for the 2 GHz radiated

Beware of x-radiation from this crt. Larger crt's operating

I am basically an EMC guy and do not know much about UL requirements. I
would like to know if there are any UL requirements for a driver with
output voltage swing of +/- 30V peak-to-peak. The RMS voltage will be much
smaller, and the power will be less than 0.5 watt. The driver is
