Anyone familiar with these two standards? I have some old DOCs claiming them
but don't have any records on testing. I can't even find anything on EN
55082-1 which we have listed as R.F. Immunity, Surge/Electric Fast Transient,
Electro Static Discharge. Seems like they may be
En 55082-1 is the generic standard. If your product is ITE it has no bearing
on it as CISPR 24 / EN 55024 is the ITE specific standard. The IEC/EN
61000-4-x documents are the basic standards that define the test procedures.
The test levels are in the generic or product family standards.

EN 55082 is obsolete. It's the predecessor of
EN 61000-6-2, generic immunity test for industrial equipment.
EN 55022 is the European version of CISPR 22, now in its 2010 version
a product group standard for ITE equipment. Product group standards
have precedence over generic standards.(though this
