After recently failing a durability test, I read the UL 969 standard - it does
not specify a hexane rub test.
So having UL approved labels and ink combinations is not sufficient to pass the
hexane rub test.

As of July 3 there is are new mandatory approvals requiring in-country
safety testing. Has there been any extension of this date?
Could anyone share their experience getting India approvals under this
new scheme?
Thanks,

Perhaps the best long-term solution would be use of UL969-approved label system.

My understanding is that 60068-2-x defines test methods.
Test levels are defined in other standards, depending on type of equipment and

I played upright bass professionally for 20 years, in big bands and jazz
groups, before and while becoming an engineer. Interest in acoustics led me
to electromagnetics, it was taught by the same teachers. I still play part
