2023-04-06 Thread Dürrer Bernd
Hi James, actually, these two clauses address two different, but related risks: Clause 22.35 addresses the risk that the handle itself may become live. In any case, a conductive surface (like the handle) has to be separated from live parts by basic insulation. Due to the higher risk that

Hi Larry, Thanks a lot for your insightful comments. Yes I'm familiar with the setup and with the antenna 3dB beamwidth. My question aims to help me estimate how much is it worth the investment in a mast with tilting or boresighting capability for our 3m semi-anechoic chamber. Most of the tests

Hi Ryan: UL makes some of its money through certifications. Regardless of product safety, components, including connectors, are certified; their required use in end-products justifies the requirement for certification of those components. So, this is one of those unwritten requirements.

If it is a Part 18 device the lab is probably misapplying FCC 15.31 (f)(2), which gives a 40 dB/decade factor. Part 18 is 20 dB, unless multiple distances are used as Tom pointed out below. Thanks, [ElementSignature] [cid:image554720.jpg@6ED1BEFC.58F12BBE] David Schaefer Technical Manager

A new question. A client's product is using two independent AC power sources on a product, but I can't find anything in 61010-1 60204-1 that provide any guidance on compliance. The obvious is that the sections of the product that are fed from source A or B are not interrelated in any way that
