the proxy server. The result is that I now have a 1GHz Pentium machine to use
in the shop. So, I want to put Ubuntu/EMC on this machine. This was a real

Use the cdrecord -scanbus to find out where your cd recorder is.
After that it is pretty easy.
As for the DOS partition I suspect you 'get' to manually partition
during the ubuntu install.
