Found a really nice up / down counter on EBAY. Works immediately with single ended rotary encoders. Although the description says that it does not display negative numbers... It does! Has five digit display, four digits when counting below zero, 0.56 in display, and cheap. http://www.ebay.com/

Gene, I just did a teardown of my HF 12x36, and replaced the spindle bearings. What I found sickening, was that there was NO oiler hole for the rear bearing, and the front bearing's oiler hole was drilled to the wrong side of the bearing, and was mostly covered by the bearing cup. I upl

I usually get my fasteners from McMaster Carr because for the most part they are made in the USA. Metric Ultra Corrosion-Resistant Coated Class 12.9 Alloy Steel M4 × 0.7 x 20Full5091274A121$5.08 As for my small screw metric stock it is almost as old as you... well not quite that
