I just compiled LinuxCNC on a fresh, minimal Fedora installation, and had
to fight the dependencies. Fedora/Redhat aren't covered in LinuxCNC
developer guides, so I thought I'd write it up. I'd be glad to write
something for the website---it wasn't obvious to me how to get about
editing the wiki;
Jim,
In JA you don't need perfect switch alignment :)

Hi,
I'm waiting on 7i78's and a few other cards to show up that I'm out of
stock at the moment. I'll work on adding UPS to the shipping options.
Turkey is another country that it is painful to use USPS.

There goes my
In joints_axes branch (latest joints_axes14),
it is a compile-time setting:
emc/motion/emcmotcfg.h:#define EMCMOT_MAX_JOINTS 9
emc/motion/emcmotcfg.h:#define EMCMOT_MAX_AXIS 9
There may be old, unknown, stale assumptions that these
values are identical or otherwise related.
So changing
which file must see and study for make an c++or phyton app to change ngc
program in Lcnc Ja session whit nogui?

Put 7i78's too on your future stocking list, please!
Also, (I'm writing from India) please add FedEx or UPS or some such parcel
service in the options list. USPS maps to the Govt. mailing service called
EMS here, which basically sucks for imports in ways too numerous to
elaborate!
Good inventory
I have a question, that I can't say that I've ever seen definitively answered.
I know that axis are limited to 9, but is there the same limit for joints? If
it is limited to 9 in regulare Linuxcnc, is this different in the Joints-Axis
branch?

Interesting that you post this right now as I was just testing it. I can
confirm the same with my machine. Apparently when I tried it the other
day I used the numpad enter.

John,
I have been reading that. I may give that a try sometime but for now it
is working great with the gantry component. It was not that difficult to
set up. In fact the first time I tried to set it up it worked. I just
needed to get the home switches set so that it was aligned and then
It is possible to add things to user interface with glade interface designer
although I have not figured out how yet. There is also suitable m-codes to
adjust parameters for EDM generator.
There is motion.spindle although in reality there are all kind of cutters. In
the long term although it
Jim,
Is your gantry a dual motor gantry? If so JA13 can now home a gantry
with no special setup like the gantry component.

Nicklas ,

and probably design an easy addon for linuxcnc later.
so Keep me in the loop.

Thanks Peter. That is what I thought I understood from the documentation
but I wanted to make sure.

First of all I want to thank everyone that provided advice on this
plasma cutter build I have been working on with my buddy. We finally
have it all up and running with the Gantry HAL component and the THC HAL
component. I want to especially thank John T. for the advice on the THC
and all of the

Sebastian,
I have some catching up to do. I do not think I have done a commit since
switching from VNC to git, and have not setup the development environment
since switching back to Debian. I still run production headless on Xubuntu.
I am currently out of town but will look at it next week after
I got measurement for EDM generator voltage an current into linuxcnc but do now
where to put them.
User interface need to be modified. As is now there is now in motion module
there is motion.spindle while motion.edm is needed, any ideas?
