yes, selection in inkscape is really a problem. one solution I use when there are too close objects : open the xml editor, then you got a list of objects, with their properties and lots of obscure attributes, but when you click on un xml node, the correspondig object is selected. take some

I spent a week or so playing with inkscape and inkscape g code tools last month. It is not the most intuitive software to use but i ll give you the quick and dirty version - Open your file in what ever format it is and try and use from the *Path* menu *Trace **Bitmap* . (I think you are
