[Emc-users] Poweroff

My PC doesn't power off when I do a poweroff or shutdown -P, it just halts. I've searched the internet for solutions and they all seem to point to acpi and apm. When I try to run these tools, they both say no acpi/apm support built into the kernel. Is this a limitation of the emc2 rtai kernel?
