I tried to compile the latest releases.
- xprint is optional in efl, but the configure *requires* it.
- I can build efl and elementary without X, but elementary *requires* it.
This is very weird...

I can compile efl 1.10.1 with gcc 4.8.3 without this fix, I can't get any
linker error.
Aymeric? This patch solves the linker error for you?
I added a fix for this in a way that works on all our supported
platforms. Could you remove this local change, update and test again?

then it has nothing to do with multihead... i don't know why it' saying

A xinerama setup maybe? Better move to xrandr (could be the case with
old nvidia driver).
i think you mean a multihead setup vs a xinerama/xrandr setup. :)
Okay. What is the solution? XFCE and MATE works nice, just Enlightenment
not. I can recompile E, but how?

i don't know what's wrong - i was correcting cedric as i think i know
what he was implying - but i don't know whats wrong with your setup. if
you use multihead - then i can tell you - you're missing out on features
AND using a not-tested feature/path. use twinview or xinerama or
randr or
With enlightenment 0.18.2 I get this error message:
A previous instance of Enlightenment is still active on this screen.
Aborting startup.
But I cannot see any Enlightenment (or other) sessions.
What is wrong?

Just a guess:
Running 18.2 on my pc has 3 */bin/enlightenment, enlightenment_ start,
efreetd and dbus-launch --exit-with-session enlightenment_start.
Maybe one of those is still running?
No.
My .xsession-errors ends with:

Weird. Have you tried restarting gdm login manager and X?
I logged out from MATE, and logged in to Enlightenment.
Nothing else.

I found your commit, applied, and compiled python-efl successfully with
