I posted a script that generated an animated wallpaper .edj file from an
animated gif, not long ago. Use this on an animated gif, look at the .edc
file generated, and substitute in your images for the ones from the
animated gif.

Well, writing an .edc is programming. If you're not bothered with that,
then you can create an edj file that will serve as your "live
wallpaper". You just load it as you would any other picture via
Settings->Wallpaper.
Just make sure to have it under the group "e/desktop/background" in your
.edc so
