I have recently updated e17 from CVS. When I start it first time, it
copies it's files to .e and segfaults. Next time (when the .e dir is
filled), it starts normally, but no windows are shown, only the
dropshades that are supposed to be under the windows. Clicking on the
parts where should be

I am running e17 from cvs, most recently built about a week ago. I have
managed to close the iconbox (if its still called that), and whilst I
can mouse-over where it used to be, and get tooltip type display of what
was in there, the actual icons are no longer displayed.
The functionality
there's a difference in how the same fonts looks for different languages

I've tryed other fonts ... no success desktop in russian locale
looks ... unclear.
Is that a matter of imlib2 or just lack of proper fonts?

Acording to get-e.org, themes should only use PNG images. I guess the
same goes in this case.

1. Go to http://dejavu.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php/Download
2. Grab your copy (in my case it was FC3 rpm) and install it
3. Go to /your/e17/data/fonts dir (my is
/opt/e17/share/enlightenment/data/fonts)
4. Copy DejaVuSans.ttf to that dir
