it is possible it is. have you tried the locks and remembering the locks? :)
you can even lock yourself out from moving the window if you want. but
definitely the program can be too. :) you can even lock yourself from closing
the window... handy in a non-remembered window in cat it has a crucial task
running (a server install/upgrade over ssh? or something else) that if you
accidentally close will cause you no end of pain - so save yourself and lock
yourself from closing the window :) (or logging out while its up etc.)

[e-users] "Ignore all window move requests" from some apps

2016-04-14 Thread Daniel Kasak
Hi all.

I'm using a truly infuriating Java app, which constantly opens new
windows for everything that you want to do. I'm running it on an
external LCD screen. It absolutely insists on opening new windows in
the very top-left corner of my laptop panel. I've tried using
"remember" settings, but these appear to have no effect for this
particular application ( I use "remember" settings successfully for a
number of other apps ). When I right-click a window from the offending
application, the "remember" settings are "remembered" - so the
matching is working.

Is it possible this application is opening windows and then after
they've opened, requesting that they be moved to the top-left corner
of my LCD, thereby defeating the "remember" functionality? If so, can
we have another "remember" setting for "ignore all window move
requests" or something?

Thanks.

Elementary has been merged in efl tree and you don't need to compile
it separately anymore. This explain why it is not working with git efl
anymore. We should actually move elementary to legacy so that git pull
fail...
