Re: [e-users] Setting up eap files for engage

I've tried that. For instance, I am using Sylpheed-claws at the moment
and there is an icon in the top left that looks like an envelope. There
is also the same icon in engage that I use to launch sylpheed. However,
the running sylpheed is shown with the question mark. When I hover over
the question mark it shows that it is sylpheed, but it is not using the
icon. On the other hand, the firefox instance that I have running shows
a little notch under the icon for it, even though the title of the
program now displays as Deer Park and not firefox which the icon is set
up to match. So, I have no idea what is going on, or how to set it
 right.

I'm also using sylpheed-claws, but mine doesn't so up under a question mark
icon. I think what you are missing from your eap file is a Window Class entry.
Using e_util_eapp_edit try entering Sylpheed as the Window Class.

 Hi,

I just tried tocompile evidence. I used source that I had from about a
week ago and then I downloaded the latest CVS. In both cases the make
 failed as follows:

-- snip error messages --

I've had evidence compile before so I can't figure it out. I have
doodle (the required search utility) installed. I just can't figure
 thisout.

 Does anyone have any suggestions?

I'm getting the same error messages (Slackware 10.1, doodle 0.6.2, libextractor
0.4.2, for info)
However, you can get evidence to build if you take out doodle (currently I'm
autogen.sh'ing with:
--disable-doodle --disable-plugin-extractor

Then I tried to find Escreen theme on net but have not success
I took the one from /usr/share/Eterm and cp it to ~/.Eterm/themes
(other themes work from this dir)

 then Eterm -t Escreen
So Eterm appears, I see bottom menu with one item (Eterm)
But then it dies. No errors returned.

Did anyone manage to start eterm with escreen theme?
What versions of Eterm and Escreen theme do you use?

Had the same problem just the other day. In my case, the problem was that the
.screen directory in my home needed to be chmoded to 700.

[e-users] problems compiling ewl

2004-10-10 Thread ktabic
Hi,
I'm having problems compiling efl.
It has all been checked out of cvs tonight, and everything compiles fine
up until I get to ewl.
Then I get the following error:

Making all in themes
make[3]: Entering directory
`/home/software/window-managers/enlightenment/e17/libs/ewl/data/themes'
(cd ../../data/themes ; edje_cc -v -id

../../data/themes/default.eet)
edje_cc: Opening /tmp/edje_cc.edc-tmp-sITglc for input
edje_cc: Parsing input file

make[1]: Leaving directory
`/home/software/window-managers/enlightenment/e17/libs/ewl'
make: *** [all] Error 2

I've looked at the file entry-groups.edc, and there are two almost
identical entries in there, but I guss that is correct.
Frankly I have no idea what is wrong, and am hoping someone knows the
cause of this.

For information, I'm running Slackware 10, with gcc 3.3.4
Thanks in advanced
