new user here, loving everything so far, don't understand why it's not more
mainstream, I wish debian had an up-to-date package, but it was fun to
compile everything, well that's not the topic sorry...
I seem to be unable to have enlightenment file manager be used when I click
a directory

I copy portion of a cat output in terminology with the default Ctrl+Shift+c
and paste in iceweasel with ctrl+v and all empty lines are removed
is that intended ?

I tried running empdd but no message is displayed (success or fail) and
nothing appears in my process list under that name, so it might have failed

ok I found how to launch both empdd and empd after reading the code ... :)
empd with your mpd host / port is the command
after that empc runs fine

so I looked where I could save space.
It happens I have this in /tmp, among other things :

nothing that helps me understand what would cause this.
