Hi,
I had many problems with my old Erlide 0.3.33 on 3.2.2 Eclipse. CPU
hanging, plain hanging and any attempt to get out of it woudl render
the workspace dead/locked and Eclipse unable to use it.
Therefore I have installed a new 3.3.2 Eclipse, new R12B-1, new 0.3.45

Many thanks to Vlad, Ben and Lukas for your kind help.
Though I now had 5.5.5 I decided to re-install Eclipse 3.2.2 and re-
install Erlide.
I made sure the ERL_TOP was set to /usr/local/lib/erlang where I had
installed and it now connects, first project edited, compiled and

Hi Lukas,
Where exactly did you install your Erlang and what was the "level"?
I installed in the default location - /usr/local/...

Hi Ben and Vlad,
I am not able to find, let alone kill and restart epmd.
Unfortunately I am just beginning with Erlang, so explicit commands
would be most useful! ;-)
From my unix shell prompt epmd gives "command not found" .
I have tried to see the processes on the erl using regs(), but no
Hi,
I installed Erlide 0.3.29 (first ever version) on Eclipse 3.2.2. I
restarted Eclipse, set my home directory (5.5.3, R11B) but when I
restarted Eclipse, it now hangs. I have tried a few times, even
started erl from the terminal.
Oddly, it worked at the first go, but not after restart. I
