No should really need tivo, but I think it's a great consumer product. If you get a tv-tuner card in your pc, these cards can be had starting around $50, and a decent 40gig drive (ata/100, 7200rpm) for $200. Hacking a la IOpener is way cool... but it's not really necessary for most of us; it is

Does it work uder wine? Does any hardware drivers work under wine?? Why would using wine be advantageous?? I simply don't understand; it seems like wine might be worthwhile for some folx, for some apps, but hardware?? really?! -ben PS- not a flame; please explain :)
